Preparing a pitch for the best evaluation.
The quality of an evaluation is set by what you give it. The analysis reads everything you upload, visits the website, and scores across more than forty criteria — but it will never invent facts it cannot see. Thin input produces a partial result that is an indicator only.
The core three
- Business plan. Drives strategy, market and execution scoring. Even a rough ten-page plan is far better than none.
- Pitch deck. Gives the narrative, the raise, the team slide and the competitive framing.
- Financial projections. Unlocks unit economics, runway and plausibility checks. A simple spreadsheet is enough.
What sharpens it further
- Website URL. Read live during the analysis, and used to ground the competitive review.
- LinkedIn profiles of key people. Paste them in the dedicated field. They feed the team panel — names, roles, backgrounds — with sources attached to each detail.
- Your own notes. Context the documents miss: traction since the deck, known risks, terms.
The completeness meter
Both the new evaluation form and the edit-and-re-run dialog show a live checklist with a completeness meter. If you run with very little, you will be asked to confirm, and the result is labelled More information neededwith a panel listing exactly what to request from the founder.
Stage matters
Pick the right stage and business type. A pre-seed company is not marked down for having no revenue history — criteria that do not apply at that stage are weighted lightly or marked not assessable and left out of the score entirely.
Re-running
Every evaluation can be re-run up to five times at no extra cost. Use Edit & re-run on the dashboard to add the document you were waiting on, then run it again and compare.
A quick checklist
- Documents are text-based PDFs, not photos of slides.
- Projections cover at least three years.
- The website URL is the company's own site, not a press article.
- Stage and business type match reality.
- Anything material that is only in your head is in the notes field.
